We design and install roof-mounted solar PV systems for homes and businesses across Gloucestershire. Every job starts with a survey rather than a guess - roof condition, orientation, shading and your existing consumer unit all change what's sensible to fit.
What's involved
A solar install is more than fixing panels to a roof. The array needs sizing to your actual electricity use, the inverter needs siting somewhere sensible and ventilated, and the whole thing needs tying into your consumer unit safely with the right isolation and protection in place.
We'll walk the roof, check the loft space for cable routes, and look at your existing board before quoting. If the roof needs attention first, or if shading means the numbers won't stack up, we'd rather say so up front.
We'll always survey a property before quoting rather than pricing blind, and you'll get a written quote before any work starts. If solar isn't going to work well on your roof, we'd rather tell you than sell you a system that underperforms.

Questions we're often asked
How much does solar PV installation cost?
It depends on roof size, system size and how much groundwork's involved, so we don't quote blind online. We survey the property first and give you a written quote before anything starts - get in touch for a free survey.
How much could I save on my electricity bills?
This depends on your system size, how much electricity you use during daylight hours, and whether you add battery storage to use more of what you generate. We'll talk through realistic expectations based on your usage at survey stage, rather than quoting a generic figure that may not apply to your home.
Are there any grants or incentives for solar?
There's no general upfront grant for solar installations at the moment, but new installs are eligible for 0% VAT under current government rules. The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) also lets you get paid for electricity you export back to the grid, which generally requires an MCS-certified installer - ask us about certification status for your project.
Does solar work in the UK's overcast weather?
Yes. Panels generate electricity from daylight, not direct sunshine, so they still produce power on cloudy days - just less than on a clear, sunny one. UK homes generate meaningful power year-round, with higher output through spring and summer.
